A leading sports e-commerce company is seeking a Finance Manager to become the Group Head of Accounting & Reporting. This position requires a strong background in US markets, M&A activities, and accounting leadership. The ideal candidate will possess over 15 years of experience and excellent communication skills. In order to support our strong growth and to build a best-in-class Corporate Finance function, we are looking to hire an experienced and highly motivated Finance manager who will assume the position as Group Head of Accounting & Reporting for the SSU group.
The Group Head of Accounting & Reporting will be a strategic financial leader and partner to the Finance management team on all matters relating to the Accounting activities of the organization. The Group Head of Accounting & Reporting is a critical member of the Finance leadership team and will work closely with the CFO and all relevant internal and external stakeholders – the position will report into the Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) and Deputy CFO.
The Group Head of Accounting & Reporting will play a critical role in driving the future of the company developing a high-performance Accounting & Reporting team that can execute the company’s vision for both organic and inorganic growth. The candidate will proactively approach and drive the further development of the group’s Accounting and Reporting function.
The future Head of Accounting & Reporting is an experienced Finance manager with broad and deep experience with US-listed companies. Furthermore, the candidate is experienced with inorganic growth including post-merger integration. Additionally he/she has hands‑on experience with SEC filings, ideally in an FPI environment.
The ideal candidate is a pragmatic as well as performance‑and growth‑driven personality with bite and charisma, and is characterized by entrepreneurial and solution‑oriented thinking and acting.
The ideal candidate has an international background and enjoys working with internal departments and external partners as well as with different cultures and mentalities. The future Head of Accounting & Reporting has a charismatic personality that allows him/her to act as sparring partner to the CFO and CAO as well as the ability to work effectively with external auditors and the SEC.
