We Are Looking For

The Global Trade Compliance Specialist is responsible for supporting the oversight of the Global Trade Compliance Program. This individual will work with various departments to enforce policies and processes including classification of the company’s product.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)
  • Perform export classification of aerospace parts, components, and assemblies under : EU Dual-Use Regulation (EU) 2021 / 821UK Strategic Export Control Lists EAR (ECCN) and ITAR (USML), where applicable
  • Assess and document end-use and end-user in accordance with UK, EU, and regulations
  • Determine licensing requirements and eligibility for : UK license via SPIRE German Licenses via BAFA (ELAN-K2) licenses via SNAP-R / DECCS, as applicable
  • Conduct restricted party and sanctions screening in accordance with : UK Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation (OFSI) EU Consolidated Sanctions lists OFAC, BIS, and DDTC lists
  • Review customer orders, shipments, and technical data transfer to determine license requirements, exemptions, or No-License-Required (NLR) status
  • Maintain complete and auditable export-control records in accordance with UK, EU, and record-keeping requirements
  • Support internal audits, external audits, and regulatory inquiries related to export controls and trade compliance
  • Develop and deliver internal compliance training for EMEA stakeholders on export control and sanction obligations
  • Act as a subject-matter resource for engineering, sales, logistics, and supply-chain teams on export-control matters
  • Classify parts in the HTS
  • Support the reporting of Intrastat reports, especially supporting corrections / month-end cut-off / reconciliation
  • Supporting warehouse, especially shipping, with specific questions with regards to exports and inter-community shipments
  • Other duties as assigned
What You Bring (Qualifications & Skills) :
  • 2-4+ years in export controls or trade compliance, preferably within aerospace
  • Working knowledge of EU Dual-use Regulation, UK Export Control order, EAR and ITAR (desirable)
  • Experience working with licensing authorities (, BAFA, UK ECJU, BIS, DDTC) preferred
  • Strong analytical and regulatory-interpretation skills
  • Ability to assess complex products against multiple export-control regimes
  • Excellent written documentation skills for regulatory and audit purposes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and compliance databases
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a multinational environment
