Global Commodity Manager Castings & Forgings (m/f/d)

I am currently partnered with a global market leading tier-1 manufacturing company that is searching for an experienced category manager to join their organisation in Düsseldorf. With a large global presence across Europe, the US and Asia, they're a true pioneer within the manufacturing sector.

Given the strong performance of the company, they're looking to increase their procurement headcount and are seeking professionals with experience in casting, forging, mechanical and turned parts sourcing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the category strategy for castings, forgings & mechanical components, including building strategic sourcing partnerships, leading negotiations, and implementing sourcing strategies
• Collaborate with the Global Category Manager and regional category teams to drive cohesive strategies
• Lead supplier management activities, including supplier development, supply base consolidation, cost-reduction roadmaps, and execution of the supplier segmentation strategy.
• Partner with business segments to shape the category’s strategic direction

Experience Required

• Bachelors degree, ideally within engineering or supply chain management
• 5+ years of experience within category management, focusing on castings, forgings, machined, turned & mechanical components
• Strong understanding of suppliers for castings & mechanical components
