Your mission

We are currently looking for a freelance lecturer (m / f / d) to teach the course EL 33 – Usability Engineering starting in the Winter semester 2025.

The course consists of 3 hours of teaching per week over 14 weeks, plus supervision and assessment of a final paper.

Module content includes :

• Fundamentals of usability and user-centered design
• Methods of image editing, image processing, and computer graphics
• Techniques for 2D and 3D graphics creation as well as animation (e.g., using GIMP and Unity)
• Principles of human perception and photosensors

As a lecturer for this course, you will :

• Deliver practice-oriented sessions on usability methods, user-centered design, prototyping, and evaluation techniques.

• Inspire our students to design digital products that are both intuitive and user-focused.

Your profile

We are looking for someone who :

• Holds at least a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Computer Science, Human Factors, UX Design, or a related field.
• Brings professional experience in usability engineering, UX research or design, or related roles.
• Combines a human-centered mindset with technical understanding (e.g., coding skills or familiarity with digital tools).
• Has strong English communication skills (level C1 or above – no formal proof required).
• Enjoys engaging with students and teaching in a dynamic, digital-first environment.
