Expert (f/m/d) Equipment Integration and MES. Company: B. Braun Melsungen AG. Location: Melsungen, Hessen, Germany. Functional Area: Production. Working Model: Hybrid. Requisition ID: 6953. Within the Hospital Care division, we seek an Expert (f/m/d) for Equipment Integration and MES Systems in the Braun Technology Center (BTC).
The Braun Technology Center (BTC) develops and manufactures customized special-purpose machines and tools for medical technology. This unit helps ensure product quality and safety across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and implement the integration of production equipment into the MES system.
- Coordinate interface standards (e.g., OPC UA) and standard modules with internal and external suppliers and stakeholders.
- Provide technical support and consulting to internal project teams, production sites, and external suppliers.
- Develop and validate internal and external equipment suppliers.
- Support the identification, analysis, coordination, and documentation of new requirements for MES systems and related Operational Technology (OT) and architecture.
- Contribute to the development of standard solutions for global production automation, especially the B. Braun MES standard platform for discrete manufacturing.
- Actively participate in the international B. Braun Knowledge Network “Operational Technology.”
- Train employees, suppliers, and experts at production sites.
- Act as a multiplier within the respective departments and global sites.
Professional Competencies
- Completed technical bachelor’s degree in fields such as computer science or electrical engineering with a focus on automation technology, or an equivalent qualification.
- Extensive professional experience in implementing production-related IT projects and software solutions (MES, MDE, BDE), and PLC programming.
- Strong affinity for Industry 4.0 with successful project implementations in this area.
- Basic knowledge of software development in at least one high-level programming language (Java, C#, C++, VB.net).
- Familiarity with working in the medical device environment regarding quality requirements, validation, and qualification is ideal.
- Excellent German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
