I²TL operates across three interlinked pillars, namely Teacher Development, Digital Education, and the Education Innovation Fund (EIF), to promote excellence in pedagogy, support technology‑enhanced learning, and catalyze student‑centered educational innovation across the institution. The Institute emphasizes students as partners and co‑creators in the design, testing and implementation of innovations.

The Digital Education pillar aims to consolidate techno‑pedagogical expertise and promote the effective, evidence‑based use of emerging technologies in education. It provides centralized support for faculty and students, fosters innovation in digital teaching and assessment, and ensures that technology enhances teaching and learning at the University of Luxembourg and beyond.

Your role

As part of the I²TL founding team, the E‑Learning specialist will coordinate the Digital Education pillar, acting as a key driver of the University's digital transformation in teaching and learning.

The specific responsibilities are as follow :
  • Identify and address institutional needs in digital education and translate these into projects, training, and initiatives that support the teaching and learning community
  • Design, test, and implement innovative tools and methodologies for the digitalisation of teaching, learning, and student assessment
  • Provide individual consultations and group training to instructors and students to strengthen digital pedagogy and literacy
  • Develop guidelines, toolkits, and procedural notes to ensure coherent, high‑quality integration of e‑learning and digitalisation of education across the university
  • Liaise and collaborate with the University's Media Centre, IT services, Competence Centre, faculty‑based e‑learning specialists, and other stakeholders to develop instruments and know‑how to foster digital education
  • Contribute to strategic reflections on e‑learning and the digitalisation of teaching and learning at the University
  • Consolidate activities and build synergies with other pillars of I²TL, namely Teacher Development and the Education Innovation Fund to advance common projects and initiatives
  • Participate in committees, working groups and in ad‑hoc projects and collaborations in the area of digital education
  • Undertake other tasks and duties as assigned
Your profile
  • A Master's degree or equivalent, preferably in (digital) education, digital transformation, instructional design, or a related field
  • Experience in supporting and training others in technology‑enhanced learning, ideally within a higher education setting
  • Strong expertise in instructional design and contemporary e‑learning practices, with evidence of innovation in applying educational technologies
  • Familiarity with platforms and tools such as multimedia production, AI‑based applications, immersive technologies
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in French, and / or German is a strong asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and process design mindset. Ability to draft clear guidelines and templates
  • Capacity to work effectively with a diverse audience, including academics, students, technical staff, and institutional leadership
  • A collaborative, team‑oriented mindset suited to a multilingual, multicultural, and interdisciplinary environment
