Overview

We are looking for a Data Architect for Trading, Modelling & Technology in the divisional unit Munich Re Markets. Munich Re Markets focuses on reinsurance of savings- and retirement products, which typically transfers hybrid actuarial- and capital market risks to the reinsurer. The activities of Munich Re Markets include origination, structuring, valuation, risk-management and administration of reinsurance contracts in a truly international and diverse environment. Trading, Modelling & Technology manages the risks and all post-trade processes of Munich Re Markets’ global book. You will work in an interdisciplinary team that produces and hedges non-traditional reinsurance solutions and creates investment solutions for clients.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate coordinated execution of global transaction strategy of Munich Re Markets
  • Administrate transaction management processes
  • Reduce efforts in transaction approval and delivery, using modern document management concepts and artificial intelligence
  • Develop, implement and maintain a concept to conveniently store, find and systematically compile transaction specific information created during transaction acquisition, implementation and onboarding processes
Your Profile
  • A proven track record in the advanced usage of Microsoft Office 365, Teams, Sharepoint and Copilot
  • Strong understanding of data structures, metadata strategies and document classification
  • Knowledge of data engineering basics
  • Apply natural language processing (NLP) and AI techniques to analyze unstructured text from emails, documents and communication streams
  • Use large language models (LLMs) to perform semantic search, generate metadata, summarize content and classify documents
  • Understanding of prompt engineering to produce reliable automated analyses
  • Experience in applying agentic AI approaches
  • Ideally coding skills in Python, R, Power BI and SQL
  • Preferably knowledge of life insurance products and capital markets and proven work experience in this field
  • A problem-solving mentality and a high devotedness to support internal customers
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual skills
  • Fluent business German and English language skills
