Qualifikationen

  • Relevante Ausbildung oder Berufserfahrung ist ein Muss.
  • Praktische Erfahrung in Design & Entwicklung von Software (EN-IEC 61131).

Could you be the full-time Software Development Engineer in Mannheim we’re looking for?

Your future role:

Take on a new challenge and apply your software and control system expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Dung TRAN (Software and Control TCIS Domain Leader), and work alongside passionate, motivated and dedicated teammates. No two days are the same, but day-to-day, you will work closely with teams across the company to maintain and develop Train Control System for our current and future Traxx Locomotives generation and much more. You’ll specifically take care of Traxx Locomotives TCMS Software, but also contribute to other train control related projects and in continuous improvement of our way of working, processes and tools.

We’ll look to you for:
  1. Contribute to concepts, design and requirements of train control functionality
  2. Contribute to TCMS architecture and design
  3. Responsible to derive software design, requirements
  4. Responsible to implement changes and new functionality
  5. Responsible to evaluate problem reports from different sources like field testing on vehicle or laboratory tests.
  6. Occasionally supporting on vehicle during train integration, testing or validation

  1. Relevant degree or work experience is a must
  2. Hands-on experience in design & development software (EN-IEC 61131)
  3. Knowledge of EN 50657, EN 50716, EN 50128 and EN50129
  4. Experience in electrical and schematic design activities is valuable
  5. Knowledge of network technologies is beneficial (MVB, CAN, IPTCOM, TRDP)
  6. Fluent in English and German
  7. Team spirit and willingness to cooperate
  8. Commitment and initiative
