• Hands-on experience with ISO 27001 implementation and certification processes.

• Experience working in tech, SaaS, or AI-driven environments.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience preparing and delivering compliance training.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).
• Auditing experience and knowledge of compliance tools/processes.

We're looking for a Compliance Manager to join Symanto and help build a secure, responsible, and future‑ready AI organization. If you're passionate about compliance, data protection, and the emerging world of AI regulation – and want to design and scale modern governance frameworks – this role offers real ownership, high visibility, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Your job will be

• Develop and maintain company‑wide compliance and information security policies (ISO 27001, GDPR, AI Act).
• Monitor regulatory changes and advise leadership on their business impact.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, drive corrective actions, and manage our ISMS documentation.
• Lead data protection activities, including DPIAs, risk assessments, vendor assessments, and incident response support.
• Train teams on compliance, security awareness, and regulatory obligations.
• Collaborate with IT, Engineering, Data, and Operations to embed compliance by design.
• Support data quality and governance processes for AI training, validation, and testing datasets.
• Foster a culture of security, ethical AI, and continuous improvement across the company.

Your Profile

Education, Required Skills, and Experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Engineering, or similar.
• Hands‑on experience with ISO 27001 implementation and certification processes.
• Solid understanding of GDPR, data protection principles, and upcoming EU AI Act requirements.
• Experience working in tech, SaaS, or AI‑driven environments.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience preparing and delivering compliance training.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).
• Auditing experience and knowledge of compliance tools/processes.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• DPO certification
• Experience with data governance or MLOps environments
• German or Spanish language skills
• Quality management certifications (CQA, CQM)
