Cloud Platform Engineer (GCP)

Location : Remote (occasional on-site approx. once per month)

Start Date : ASAP

Duration : Full-time until end of January (extensions likely)

Language : English required German is a plus.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Cloud Platform Engineer to support a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment. The role involves setting up optimising and securing cloud infrastructure while enabling development teams through best practices and training.

Key Responsibilities

• Define repository structure and project setup
• Create and manage Terraform workspaces and scripts
• Implement compliance and security requirements (Sentinel policies)
• Prepare Jira requests related to network and security topics
• Set up and configure Pub / Sub including firewall adjustments
• Deploy and tune CloudSQL instances
• Document and optimise GCP services for performance and scalability
• Provide enablement to internal teams (training hands-on sessions playground projects)
• Support a proof of concept (PoC) with a Spring Boot sample project
