Chief Audit Executive (m/f/d)

As our Chief Audit Executive (m/f/d), you will lead and organize audits across all areas of our business - working closely with expert partners and connecting teams worldwide.

You will serve as the key link between our organization and external audit specialists, ensuring our “third line of defense” is strong and effective.

Furthermore, you will follow up on agreed actions, making sure our plans are executed and documented according to top audit standards. In this trusted advisor role, you will help us strengthen our processes, support internal controls, and reduce operational risks - making a real difference every day.

This is a permanent, full-time position. The place of work is either our HQ in Einbeck or at our Berlin-based entity.

Responsibilities
  • Support the planning and manage the execution and delivery of the audit plan by ensuring constant quality in performed audits.
  • Ensure timely delivery of audit reports by Audit service provider.
  • Constant review of risks and controls for all business processes to ensure safeguarding of the Group’s assets and reputation.
  • Support key stakeholders within KWS to increase awareness for proper governance and risk management.
  • Develop Audit program in close collaboration with Risk Management and Compliance, and in interaction with Audit Committee.
  • Ensure corrective action plans are implemented via a solid follow-up process.
  • Maintain up-to-date database / provide transparency on Audit status and follow-up results.
Your profile
  • Master / Diploma degree in Economics/IT/ Natural Sciences/Engineering or similar professional experience and career.
  • Up to multiple years of experience as a (senior) auditor in a technical and/or life-science field related to innovation, technology management, product development, production, supply, IP and/or distribution.
  • Preferably certified auditor.
  • Experience and profound understanding of major business processes’ risk and controls environment.
  • Excellent business process knowledge and relevant analytical skills (e.g. Six Sigma).
  • Strong analytical skills, experience developing audit plans and customized audit scopes, based on risk analysis outcome.
  • Understanding state‑of‑the‑art industry tools and methodologies (IT applications etc).
  • Strong skills in organization, communication, presentation, and conflict management.
  • Able to coordinate with internal resources such as Finance, Controlling, Compliance & Risk Management, Legal and IT etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; proficient in German and English; additional language(s) are an advantage.
