A biopharmaceutical company in Hamburg is seeking a Cell Therapy Territory Operations Manager to oversee operations for treating cancer through cell therapy. The Cell Therapy Territory Operations Manager (TOM) / Regional Cell Therapy Operations Lead (m / f / d) is a regional expert supporting Patient Operations and project teams in cell therapy. As a senior technical leader the role sets and implements compliant policies and standards for treatment centers, partners with Regional Operations Directors (RODs) on site strategy, leads research and internal reporting and maintains up-to-date best practices.
The role expands AZ’s cell therapy footprint in oncology by building patient‑centered service lines and leading complex engagements with site leadership and frontline providers. It delivers operational and clinical guidance for trials and commercial products, leads site activation and provides ongoing operational quality and clinical oversight post‑activation. The TOM is a field regional role reporting to a Regional Operations Director (ROD).
Cell Therapy Territory Operations Manager / Regional Cell Therapy Operations Lead (m / f / d)
Drive initiatives across clinical and commercial cell therapy from development through post‑market.
Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) influencing strategy governance and cross‑functional execution at local and multi‑country levels.
Partner with internal teams (Program Management, QA, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Compliance, Sales / Marketing).
Build and maintain strong relationships with treatment centers and external partners (PIs, physicians, nursing, apheresis, cell therapy labs).
Establish patient‑centered service lines and operational standards.
Ensure compliance with regulatory / accreditation standards (e.g. FACT); maintain audit readiness.
Oversee raw material collection, product receipt / storage / distribution / infusion and COI / COC processes.
Lead site activation using risk‑based tools for certification, training and monitoring.
Respond to SOP deviations and manage quality records (Deviations, CAPA, Change Control).
Design and deliver training for HCPs (PIs, MDs, nursing, apheresis, lab staff).
Lead cross‑functional meetings to develop patient / product workflows for trials and commercial products.
Act as primary liaison for operational readiness; align logistics with Supply Chain.
Manage regional account changes and site logistics with Cell Therapy Hub.
Provide exemplary customer service and foster strong business relationships.
Travel : Up to 50%.
