ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a motivated and proactive Business Development Manager (m/f/d) to prospect small to medium customers on our biggest market so far, the DACH market at Pliant. The ideal candidate will focus on establishing new strong relationships in the fintech space as well as understanding their needs, and collaborating with the Customer Success team to drive long‑term growth.

This role will be based in Berlin at our HQ where we have a hybrid work policy.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • From Discovery to Deal: Conduct discovery calls, demos, and closing of inbound partner leads.
  • Building Pipelines: Create best practices on how to reach new customers and retain them in the DACH market.
  • Customer advocacy: You take ownership and communicate skilfully to contact potential customers and build a strong customer pipeline.
  • Understanding: It's important to you to know your contact's needs and problems, ask the right questions and listen to them in order to pick up your customers where they are at the moment.
  • Advise: You put yourself in your customers' shoes and identify for them how we at Pliant can deliver the most value to them.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
  • 2-4 years previous work experience in the banking or financial services industry in a customer facing role.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills both written and verbal, especially with our inbound partner leads and eager to do outbound outreach when ready.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
  • Strong willingness to learn and develop your career in a fast paced Fintech environment.
  • You speak German fluently, along with English or any additional European languages (particularly Dutch) would be an advantage, but not essential.
  • Berlin based ideally - hybrid work model in place.
