We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Executive to join our team in Singapore. This is a part-time opportunity (5 hours per day). The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for sales, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the translation and localization industry. You will play a pivotal role in expanding our client base, building strong relationships, and driving revenue growth in the APAC region and globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify potential clients through market research, networking events, and outbound outreach (e.g., cold calling, emails, LinkedIn).
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Act as the primary point of contact for prospective clients throughout the sales process.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to potential clients.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to secure new business.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., project management, marketing) to ensure seamless project delivery and client satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and progress in CRM systems.
- Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management.
- Represent the company at industry events, tradeshows, and conferences.
- Prepare for tradeshows by researching attendees, scheduling meetings, and creating promotional materials.
- Engage with potential clients and partners during tradeshows to generate leads and build relationships.
- Follow up promptly with leads and contacts made at events to convert opportunities into business deals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably in translation/localization or related industries.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of the translation and localization industry and its services.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in an additional language is a plus.
- Familiarity with the APAC market and local business practices.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and adaptable to change.
- The candidate must be a Singaporean citizen.
