GE HealthCare is seeking qualified technicians to evaluate, diagnose, and repair biomedical equipment, and to perform planned maintenance and safety inspections.

The role supports on-site service delivery, collaborates with teammates, and ensures documentation, regulatory compliance, and timely reports. Candidates typically hold an Associate's or Bachelor's in Electrical, Biomedical, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience, and must be able to lift up to 35 lbs and work after hours.

Qualifikationen

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Biomedical, or Mechanical Engineering; OR equivalent military education; OR GEHC internship or externship program; OR High School Diploma/GED with 2+ years experience servicing electrical/electronics/IT/mechanical equipment
• One year of experience
• Analytical and communication skills, with ability to communicate technical issues clearly to customers
• Compliance with GEHC background checks, immunization requirements, and drug tests as applicable

• Respond to service calls to evaluate, diagnose, and repair biomedical equipment

• Perform planned maintenance and safety/environmental inspections as assigned
• Assist experienced technicians with basic and complex repairs and resolutions
• Communicate and partner effectively with teammates and colleagues
• Follow GE policies, procedures, hospital protocols, and complete required documentation
• Maintain daily customer communications to ensure resolution and follow-up
• Implement GE/customer facility contracts and support business goals as instructed
• Provide efficient service delivery to accounts within the assigned area
• Share on-call responsibilities when trained
• Document repair actions and submit reports and summaries on schedule
• Maintain proper care, tracking, and calibration of spares, tools, and test equipment
• Maintain technical knowledge of standards, codes, and procedures for safe and effective medical equipment use
• Use manuals, technical support, FaceTime, and online resources to answer questions during planned maintenance
• Meet Health and Human Services, Environmental Health and Safety, and other regulatory requirements
• Complete quality and compliance training and report customer concerns
• Accurately document work orders, service reports, time and expense reports, planned maintenance, purchase orders, and related duties

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; OR equivalent military education; OR participation in the formal GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship or Military Externship program; OR High School Diploma/GED and 2+ years of experience servicing electrical, electronics, IT, or mechanical equipment
• One year of experience
• Analytical and communication skills, with ability to communicate technical issues clearly to customers
• Must comply with GEHC's standard background check, including a post-offer drug test
• Must comply with customer access policies, including required immunizations and additional drug tests or background checks as applicable
• Restricted to U.S. persons due to access to export-controlled technology
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not available
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted
• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, and stand for long periods
• Ability to reach at, above, and below shoulder level; flex/extend neck; and demonstrate good hand and finger dexterity
• Specific vision abilities may include color, close, distance, peripheral, and depth vision
• Willingness to work after hours or a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends, as necessary
• Awareness of and compliance with GEHC quality policies, procedures, laws, and regulations
• Completion of planned Quality and Compliance training within defined deadlines
• Ability to identify and report customer quality or compliance concerns
• Ability to accurately and promptly document work orders, service reports, time and expense reports, PM activities, purchase orders, and other duties
• Ability to ensure test equipment is tracked and calibrated on time
