The Eurofins Agroscience Group is one of the leading service providers in Europe. We conduct field and laboratory studies to determine the safety and efficacy of new substances and organisms for humans and the environment.

In addition, we support our clients throughout every stage of the regulatory approval process. Our in‑house team of regulatory experts works closely with our network of field stations, laboratories, and carefully selected partners.

Our beekeeping unit manages more than 350 honey bee colonies. However, our focus is not on honey production or marketing, but on scientific research and the protection of bees. In this holistic role, you will work both in beekeeping and in research.

You will be responsible for colony management within our scientific studies. This includes swarm control, Varroa treatments, relocating colonies according to study requirements, and overwintering

You will record the development and health of the colonies within our studies and contribute to queen breeding

You will also support the execution and supervision of field trials for the approval of plant protection products. In these trials, you will work with various naturally occurring organisms such as plants and animals

You will collect samples from plants, bee products, bees, and other relevant elements. The collected data is used to assess the impact of plant protection products on bee colonies and the environment.

You will document the trials according to standardized methods (GLP), which you can learn with us

you have completed apprenticeship as a beekeeper or in a comparable field such as agriculture, horticulture, or LTA, and you bring several years of experience in beekeeping

Your technical and scientific understanding qualifies you for this exciting role

You have basic skills in using common MS Office applications

Good English skills (reading and comprehension) complement your profile

You hold a Class B driving licence

A genuine interest in and enjoyment of working outdoors with honey bees is essential. You should also be willing to work occasionally on weekends
