As an AWS Cloud Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the development, deployment, and optimization of Cloud infrastructures on AWS. With our expanding operations in the AWS Cloud, we are seeking someone who can not only manage and enhance existing Cloud systems but also contribute to the development of new features and functionalities. This position is closely connected to architecting robust systems, automating workflows, and ensuring optimal performance and security while providing expert guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from conception to execution. Main responsibilities include:

• Deployment and optimization of cloud-native applications in the AWS environment, ensuring performance and scalability requirements are met.
• Development and extension of small-scale functionality code using serverless technologies (Lambdas) and containers to ensure efficient and reliable execution within AWS.
• Automation and Infrastructure as Code to streamline deployment and management of AWS infrastructure, optimizing for scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
• Creation and maintenance of reliable CI/CD workflows to automate build, test, and deployment processes for efficient and consistent software delivery.
• Deployment, automation, and management of AWS cloud-based systems with a focus on high availability, performance, scalability, and security following best practices.
• Analyzing and optimizing existing AWS workloads, identifying opportunities for cost reduction, performance improvements, and resource efficiency.
• Performing security audits and performance tests to identify vulnerabilities, optimize configurations, and ensure security standards compliance.
• Collaborating with partners/clients on projects, providing technical expertise, guidance, and support throughout the project lifecycle to tailor AWS solutions to specific needs.

Your profile

• Fluency in German and English
• DevOps mindset
• Advanced experience in building and deploying AWS Cloud solutions
• Advanced experience with the command line (Linux)
• Advanced knowledge in building and deploying microservices leveraging serverless computing
• Advanced knowledge of templated infrastructure provisioning (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, Open Tofu)
• Good knowledge of at least one programming language (Python, Go, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, etc.) and scripting (Bash, PowerShell, etc.)
• Good experience in designing and developing CI/CD environments (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc.)
• Good experience with containerization tools/registries (Docker, ECR) and container orchestration tools (EKS/Kubernetes, ECS, Fargate)
• Good experience in operating, monitoring and troubleshooting complex applications, with knowledge of tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Amazon CloudWatch, etc.)
• Basic knowledge of deployment strategies (A/B, Blue/Green)
