Black Swans Exist GmbH is seeking a field sales professional to drive adoption of ophthalmic surgical products across North Rhine-Westphalia and Lower Saxony. You will directly manage hospitals and clinics, building relationships with surgeons and procurement teams while delivering product demonstrations and training.
This individual contributor role involves travel across NRW and Niedersachsen. You can base yourself remotely within the region; their German office is in Köln.
Location: North Rhine-Westphalia & Lower Saxony
Salary: Up to 75k euros + bonus
Sell ophthalmic surgical products that give you a genuine reason to knock on a competitor’s door.
You’ll represent a portfolio designed to combine high product quality with competitive pricing, giving hospitals and surgical centres an alternative to paying premium prices simply because they recognise the name on the box.
Importantly, this isn’t about competing on price with lower-quality products. A significant part of the portfolio is manufactured in Europe, giving you a strong quality proposition alongside the commercial advantage.
You’ll take ownership of NRW and Lower Saxony, developing relationships with hospitals, clinics and ophthalmologists. You’ll have the autonomy to grow the region while being backed by an international ophthalmic surgery business.
You’ll also stay close to the clinical side. Product demonstrations, user training and supporting surgical procedures will give you more technical involvement than you’d normally get in a traditional sales position.
The role is an individual contributor position, so there’s no team management. Instead, you’ll have direct responsibility for your customers, territory and commercial results.
You can be based anywhere in the NRW or Lower Saxony region, and do not need to be on-site for the most part. Their German office is in Köln.
Developing new and existing accounts will strengthen your commercial experience in ophthalmic surgery. You’ll work directly with surgeons, purchasing teams and other decision-makers, building relationships that can turn into long-term business.
You’ll demonstrate products, train clinical users and provide support during surgical procedures when required. You’ll also attend congresses and industry events, giving you the opportunity to build your network within the German ophthalmology market.
