AI Systems Engineer

FPI Food Processing Innovation GmbH + Co KG is a leader in poultry processing solutions within the BAADER Group. Your future tasks will include:

1. Evaluating large datasets for AI training, focusing on efficiency and quality criteria.
2. Collaborating on the development and maintenance of AI infrastructure in software.
3. Creating and assessing backbones for AI training based on product-specific metrics.
4. Preparing reference datasets and optimizing AI testing infrastructure.
5. Evaluating effort and results concerning AI KPIs.
6. Testing software modules and conducting system tests.

Required skills and qualifications:

• A university degree in natural sciences or engineering, such as computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related field.
• Practical experience in AI and data handling, preferably with PyTorch and Pandas, along with a good understanding of technological trends.
• Experience in developing AI systems for process data evaluation.
• Knowledge of SQL databases (e.g., Postgres, ClickHouse) or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
• Enthusiasm for creating and managing reference datasets for neural network evaluation.
• Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages.
• Optional: Experience in food industry product development.
• Optional: Experience in C / C++ development.
• Familiarity with agile methods like Kanban or Scrum.
• An analytical mindset to support data-driven decision-making.
• Confidence, determination, and a solution-oriented approach.
