Your mission

We are seeking a talented AI Applications Engineer to join our cutting-edge team developing next-generation photonic compute. In this role, you will design, implement, and optimize machine learning algorithms tailored for our photonic computing platform, enabling ultra-fast, energy-efficient AI computation. You will bridge the gap between algorithm development and photonic hardware capabilities to unlock new performance paradigms in AI acceleration.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and optimize machine learning algorithms specifically designed for our native compute platform.
  • Collaborate with system architects to integrate AI models onto our photonic platforms.
  • Design and implement application-level solutions leveraging photonic hardware for AI workloads.
  • Conduct performance analysis and benchmarking of AI models on photonic accelerators, identifying bottlenecks and optimization opportunities.
  • Research and prototype novel AI techniques exploiting the properties of our photonic computing.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including hardware design, software engineering, and system integration.
  • Contribute to documentation, technical reports, and publications related to AI and photonic computing advancements.
  • Stay up to date with developments in machine learning, photonics, and hardware acceleration technologies.

Your profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field (PhD preferred).
  • Strong background in machine learning and deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Experience in developing and optimizing AI algorithms for specialized hardware accelerators.
  • Familiarity with photonic computing concepts and architectures is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C, or similar.
  • Experience with hardware-software co-design and understanding hardware constraints.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
