Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd in Zurich is seeking a Customer Quality Engineer to strengthen our quality function for GIS equipment. You will lead root-cause analyses, coordinate with customers and internal teams, and drive improvements across complex projects.

The role requires strong technical grounding in electrical power systems, experience in O&M of T&D, and fluent English; German is a plus. You will work in a collaborative, global team offering challenging tasks and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in electrical power systems with experience in O&M of T&D systems.
• Background in quality function or project management in gas-insulated switchgear field.
• Profound understanding of electrical systems and electrical equipment.
• Fluent English skills; German and other languages are beneficial.
• Experience in quality management and/or project management will be considered a plus.
• Good communication and cultural sensitivity.

Responsibilities

• Lead root cause analysis in GIS quality cases.
• Drive the quality cases affecting multiple customers.
• Owner of internal and external customer complaints and ensure a fast and sustainable solution.
• Project management of bigger quality cases, identify improvements and drive their implementation.
• Prepare and present reports to internal and external stakeholders.
• Run sustainable improvement projects to prevent quality issues to repeat.
• Provide support for and/or lead on-site investigations.
• Prepare method statements for troubleshooting cases.
