Job summary

Hitachi, Ltd. is seeking a Customer Quality Engineer in Zürich to lead root cause analyses in gas insulated switchgear quality cases and to own responses to customer complaints.

The role combines technical depth with customer-facing collaboration and project leadership to deliver sustainable quality improvements. You will drive cross-functional investigations, prepare reports for stakeholders, and support on-site activities to prevent quality issues from recurring.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in Electrical power systems and O&M of T&D systems.
• Experience in quality function or project management in GIS field.
• Profound understanding of electrical systems and equipment.
• Experience in commissioning T&D systems is a plus.
• Fluent English; German and other languages are beneficial.
• Experience in quality management and/or project management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead root cause analysis in GIS quality cases.
• Drive quality cases affecting multiple customers.
• Own internal and external customer complaints and ensure fast, sustainable solutions.
• Project management of larger quality cases and drive improvements.
• Prepare and present reports to stakeholders.
• Run sustainable improvement projects to prevent recurrences.
• Provide support for on-site investigations and troubleshooting.
