Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. is expanding its Gas insulated switchgear team in Zürich to strengthen customer quality engineering. The role combines technical expertise with stakeholder collaboration to resolve complex GIS quality cases for multiple customers.

You will lead root-cause analyses, manage major quality projects, and drive swift, sustainable solutions while preparing reports for both internal teams and external partners. English required; German or other languages are beneficial.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in Electrical power systems.
• Background in quality function or project management in gas-insulated switchgear field.
• Profound understanding of project management practices.
• Knowledge and experience with root cause analysis methodologies and tools (8D, A3 etc.).
• Experience in commissioning GIS systems is a plus.
• Fluent English skills; German and other languages are beneficial.
• Experience in quality management or project management is a plus.
• Good communication and cultural sensitivity.

Responsibilities

• Lead root cause analysis in GIS quality cases.
• Drive the quality cases affecting multiple customers.
• Owner of internal and external customer complaints and ensure a fast and sustainable solution.
• Project management of bigger quality cases, identify improvements and drive their implementation.
• Prepare and present reports to internal and external stakeholders.
• Run sustainable improvement projects to prevent quality issues from repeating.
• Provide support for and/or lead on-site investigations.
• Prepare method statements for troubleshooting cases.
• Deputy of Quality assurance function with audits preparation and leading.
