Job summary

tibits Zurich Oerlikon is seeking an experienced Deputy Head Chef to lead and support a team of about 10 production staff alongside the Head Chef. You will participate actively in kitchen operations, oversee recruitment, and maintain hygiene and quality standards in a vibrant buffet environment.

You will co-manage production processes, design workflows, and ensure inventory control and safety compliance while keeping a positive, team-focused atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Koch:Köchin EFZ, with relevant experience required.
• Strong leadership and teamwork skills are essential.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support around 10 production staff alongside the Küchenchef.
• Actively participate in kitchen operations and processes.
• Oversee recruitment and ensure hygiene and quality standards.
• Deputising for the Head Chef during absences.
• Create work schedules and manage production workflows.
• Co-design and improve production processes and inventory management.
• Ensure HACCP hygiene and quality standards and handle monthly inventories.
