Successful candidates may be eligible for a $10,000 signing bonus and up to $5,000 of relocation assistance with a defined Return of Service contract.

Under the direction of the Health Services Manager, the Respiratory Therapist applies their knowledge, skills and judgment in the provision of diagnostic, assessment and therapeutic modalities to assist in the management of respiratory and related disorders in collaboration with the physician and other health care professionals. The Respiratory Therapist also participates in education of patients, families and other health care providers. Primary responsibilities include spirometry, patient/family teaching and clinical support.

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

• Successful completion of a Respiratory Therapy program from an accredited institution
• Successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care Exams
• Current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Respiratory Therapists
• Current certification in BCLS and ACLS
• Previous spirometry experience required
• Previous care coordinator experience an asset
• Certified respiratory/asthma/COPD educator an asset
• Smoking cessation counseling experience an asset
• Prior experience in time management, conflict resolution and information management an asset
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

$36.69 - $47.15 Hourly
