Job description
About the Team

DoorDash is looking for top talent to play a pivotal role in growing our business in Canada! We are looking for someone excited about joining a fast-paced environment and driving our next wave of growth.

The Canadian DoorDash Dasher Logistic team is focused on driving cost and efficiency savings and quality improvements, business-wide (across Restaurant, New Verticals, Drive etc.), to empower operational leverage and growth. Together, we’re building the world’s most efficient and reliable same-day logistics platform to fulfill our vision of empowering all local businesses.

About the Role

Strategy & Operations Associate Managers are responsible for diving into some of our toughest operational problems to root cause them and run experiments to drive improvements. They are also responsible for working closely with cross-functional teams to hit goals and solve ambiguous business problems.

This role is for self‑motivated, curious, and ownership‑minded individuals who can think with a Dasher‑first lens, thrive on solving complex problems using data, can collaborate across all levels of the organization, and execute their ideas efficiently. We expect this Associate manager to bring ideas to the table and take charge of their day‑to‑day operations to drive positive and scalable results to the business.

Projects will be diverse and have the potential to impact each side of our marketplace – from Dashers, to Consumers, to Merchants. Some examples of projects include:

  • Running pay experiments to better meet Dasher expectations and power more cost‑effective deliveries
  • Creating accessible and rewarding economic opportunities that empower Dashers to reach their goals
  • Improving customer quality on deliveries and unlocking additional growth avenues for the business
  • Building the future of same‑day and flexible logistics networks while optimizing for customer affordability
  • Getting every delivery right and ensuring that no defects occur at any point in the delivery life cycle, so that Dashers, Consumers, and Merchants alike have a great experience using the DoorDash platform

We operate in a hybrid model, and our office is located in downtown Toronto, with the opportunity to travel abroad.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…
  • Analyze. You’ll assess the operational and financial impacts of your decisions and iterate based on data. You’ll build models, frameworks, processes, and much more.
  • Strategize. From first principles, you’ll develop the optimal strategy for achieving efficiency in operations. You’ll sign up for ambitious goals to improve the quality of deliveries.
  • Build. You’ll have your fingerprints on all DoorDash operations. You’ll do whatever it takes to launch, get 1% better every day, and scale something completely new.
  • Lead and collaborate. This role will lean into strategic, cross‑functional projects with partners from different geos to ensure success during each quarter.
  • Experiment. Run tests and scale insights. Embrace the challenge of having multiple paths forward and no right answer. Growing a business in a competitive market will not be easy.
We’re excited about you because…
  • You’re an operator. You have a talent for managing complex projects, turning high‑level goals into actionable plans, and translating insights into scalable processes.
  • You love data. You’re excited to dive deep into data and tackle tough problems with logic and reasoning. You’re comfortable working with large datasets, building models, and writing SQL queries.
  • You bring 4+ years of experience in operations, technology, consulting, strategy, business development, banking, analytics, or within a high‑growth or early‑stage startup. You hold a bachelor's degree or higher — an MBA is a plus.
  • You get things done. You know how to prioritize, communicate, execute, and synthesize — whether it’s in your day‑to‑day work or through experiments designed to achieve your goals.
  • You are curious. You’re a learner who can structure thoughts, findings, and wins clearly. You work hard to understand how your work connects with and impacts other parts of the business, and you’re driven by delivering meaningful results.
  • You’re unafraid of uncharted territory. Rapid change energizes you, and you thrive in new environments. You’re resilient and adaptable, able to pivot quickly and move forward even when information is incomplete.
  • You’re a team player. You balance your own OKRs with broader company goals, making space for collaboration and shared success.
  • You demonstrate leadership. You take ownership of your initiatives end‑to‑end, hold yourself accountable for outcomes, and drive progress with minimal guidance.
  • You are collaborative. You bring people along with you, communicate proactively, and contribute to team success without waiting to be asked.

We’re committed to supporting employees’ happiness, healthiness, and overall well‑being by providing comprehensive benefits and perks including premium healthcare, wellness expense reimbursement, paid parental leave and more.
