A Canadian university is seeking a qualified instructor for an online course on Local Government Accounting for the 2026 Winter Term. Candidates must possess a Master's degree and have strong communication and analytic skills. Responsibilities include ensuring course material meets academic standards and participating in advisory meetings. This course will examine the history, purposes, and principles of Local Government Accounting, budgeting, audits, assessments, and taxation, with emphasis on Urban and Rural Municipalities and School Division accounting.
The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in a relevant area, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. They will be responsible for ensuring course material and curriculum meet current municipal sector and University academic requirements, and will be evaluated by students and the Division Head after each semester.
This course will be offered in an online delivery format, and candidates should be familiar with instruction in an online environment. Familiarity with UR Courses is an asset.
