The Role

CTAP (Cable Transfer Administrative Process) Facilities Specialist

What we do - CTAP Facilities Specialists are engaged on engineering work orders and repairs when copper and fiber cable cuts, transfers, section throws, etc. need to occur. CTAP provides critical support to ensure all working circuits are identified to maintain continuity of service for our customers.

Location and Schedule

This is a full time Remote - Work from home position. Schedule may include varying shifts and hours including possible mandatory overtime. Typical schedule may be 7:00am to 3:30pm or 8:00am to 4:30pm.

Must live and work from within one of the followin states: AZ, CO, ID, IA, MN, NE, NM, ND, OR, SD, UT, WA, WY.

The Main Responsibilities

• Review and interpret engineering work orders to determine action required on planned cable cuts and transfer projects.
• Review, interpret and work with information on construction work prints.
• Use the following systems and sites when performing analysis for Copper and Fiber cuts/section throws. NBIE, WFA-C, JDS, TIRKS, LFACS, WMS, Ops Console, Google Maps, SWITCH, NMADB
• Works closely with technicians, engineering, testers, field supervisors, Structure Load, and other departmental employees to ensure service affecting work is being or was accomplished by the committed due date.
• Create a GCR in Ops console to initiate action with change management.
• Follow up with technician, tester, field supervisor or other departmental employees to ensure service affecting work is being or was accomplished by the committed due date.
• Handle inquiries regarding completion dates and job progress with other departments.
• Build and coordinate cable cuts and transfers with other departments to assist in meeting established service dates, preparing revisions as necessary.

• Must be able to prioritize multiple projects and perform under strict deadlines.
• Multi-tasking experience in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing and completing work tasks with speed and accuracy.
• Working knowledge of computer software systems, utilizing multiple window screens, e-mail and web-based applications.
• Working knowledge of MS Excel.
• Broad knowledge/understanding of how provisioning and repair systems work/flow together from beginning to end.
• Must have strong communications skills such as probing, asking detailed questions to understand and problem solve to reach resolution.
• Ability to provide efficient, quality service to both internal and external customers.
• Experience with problem solving and utilizing analytical skills to review, correct and resolve record discrepancies.
• Ability to primarily perform work duties sitting or standing at a workstation utilizing a computer and telephone or headset for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work varying shifts and hours including possible mandatory overtime.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least six (6) months experience in the last 4 years working in Lumen systems such as NBIE, WFA-C, JDS, TIRKS, LFACS, WMS, Ops Console, Google Maps, SWITCH, NMADB.
• At least six (6) months experience in the last 4 years interpreting/reading engineering or construction job prints and engineering equipment orders or schematics.
• Previous experience as a STLD SAT, Facilities Specialist, or as an Engineer.

Pay Ranges

Minimum hourly rate: $15.67
Maximum hourly rate: $41.43
