Resource Manager - Ready Set Go (RSG)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Resource Manager is a full-time, permanent position responsible for directing all team functions. The role involves supervising and coordinating staff efforts to meet service objectives and regulatory standards. The Resource Manager is a member of the Management Team.

RESPONSIBILITY: The Resource Manager reports to the Director of Services and performs duties under their supervision, including overseeing program functions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Master of Social Work Degree with at least three years of experience managing services for children and families or a comparable human service program. A combination of skills, education, and experience may be considered.
  2. Thorough knowledge of the Child and Family Services Act and Regulations, especially Part X relating to Customary Care of the First Nations.
  3. Thorough knowledge of Child Protection Standards in Ontario.
  4. Expertise in Customary Care, service development, community and family structures, and First Nation customs and traditions.
  5. Working knowledge of Kitapinoonjiiminaanik Family Services' structure, service delivery model, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  6. Knowledge of the operations of Grand Council Treaty #3 and First Nations in the Kenora area, including tribal and external service agencies.
  7. Ability to prepare comprehensive narrative and statistical reports on service delivery and procedures.
  8. Ability to influence and facilitate community and group decision-making processes through knowledge, ideas, and persuasion.
  9. Experience in designing, conducting, planning, and training workshops.
  10. Ability to establish and maintain purposeful relationships with clients, staff, organizations, and management.
  11. Strong commitment to serving Anishinaabe children and families, respecting their cultural and spiritual practices.
  12. Commitment to providing services within the Anishinaabe context of extended family and community involvement.
  13. Excellent supervisory, planning, organizational, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  14. Ability to work within a multidisciplinary Child Welfare team.
  15. Knowledge of group dynamics, consultation, and conflict resolution techniques.
  16. Understanding of human behavior theories and their application in assessment and planning.
  17. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  18. Ability to follow policies, procedures, and work within the agency's mission, philosophy, and core values.
  19. Ability to exercise authority appropriately.
  20. Superior oral and written communication skills.
  21. Flexibility to work varying hours as determined by the Director of Services.
  22. Valid Ontario Driver's License and willingness to travel.
  23. Provision of a clear Criminal Records Check and Driver's Abstract.
  24. Ability to speak Ojibway is preferred and considered an asset.
