Site: Belleville General Hospital - 265 Dundas St. E
Hours: Continental Rotation - 0800-2000/2000-0800
Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours
Pay Rate: $18.94/hourly

Job Responsibilities
- Present a smart, visible, and alert security presence
- Greet, assist, and direct members of the public visiting the premises
- Ensure the safety & security of clients, buildings, and assets
- Work effectively, both independently and as part of a team
- Carry out all security duties as specified (including, but not limited to):
- Proactive/reactive interior & exterior patrols
- Response & assistance in emergency situations
- Documenting & reporting of any/all security events on shift
- Investigate routine incidents
- Patient watches
- Parking & smoking by-law enforcement
- Hospital policy awareness & enforcement
- Access control/key control
- Monthly safety inspections
- Additional duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Valid Security License for Ontario
- Valid G class Drivers License
- Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
- Proof of (minimum) double COVID-19 vaccination
- A copy of your immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella [MMR], Varicella, and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2)
- Completed immunization for Measles, Mumps, and Rubella are required at the time of hire. Applicants who are not immunized or are otherwise unable to provide their MMR immunity at the time of hire will not be deemed eligible for the position.
- How to get hired in healthcare
- Immunization Form
- 6+ months security experience required
- Previous healthcare security experience is preferred
- 1+ year of security experience is preferred
- Must be able to commute to Kingston for pre-deployment training
- Must have a reliable working vehicle in good repair
- Must be able to site train at all 4 QHC facilities (Belleville, Trenton, Picton, and Bancroft)
- Must be able to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test
- Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
- Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to onboarding to meet the requirements.
- Note: UoF/MOAB training is unpaid but covered by Paladin with a 6-month commitment.
