SSP Canada operates multiple restaurants in Kelowna International Airport including White Spot Restaurant, Subway, Tim Hortons, and retail stores.

The Shared Services Specialist is an administrative based, dual-matrix position that will provide support in finance, accounting and human resources administrative functions within an airport setting. This is an on-site role with occasional travel.

1. Responsible for the activities of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Room, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of all payables, transfers, petty cash, and cash control. Also, ensure the accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable components including billings, cash receipts application, etc.
2. Supports Cash counting, Glory Safe servicing, reconciling Vouchers and maintaining Eigen Inventory.
3. Ensure compliance with the financial procedures of the organization.
4. Work closely with IT staff to attain accurate and necessary reporting from systems.
5. Perform weekly audit of safe counts in terminal(s).
6. Ensure that all cash handling and inventory procedures are followed.
7. Assist in technical training and maintaining of all accounting systems; IT, Lynx, Micros, MyInventory, CrunchTime.

1. Assists in facilitating Job Fairs and assists with initial interviews.
2. Handles new employee onboarding including 321 forms and Hub New Hire data entry.
3. Facilitates Badging, Parking, Uniform inventory management and distribution.
4. Tracks and facilitates SSP Academy Training compliance.
5. Signatory for SSP America at airport to setup new employee airport credentials, parking, etc. and retrieve upon termination.

1. Minimum of 2 years of combined accounting/finance and human resource experience.
2. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
3. Ability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment.
4. Ability to obtain Transport Canada Security Clearance.
