A community college in Canada is seeking a NLC Foundation Clerk to provide front line client services and administrative support. This role involves assisting with donor events, managing financial documents, and performing standard office functions. Candidates must have two years of experience and a post-secondary education, with an Office Administration certificate preferred. Strong communication, organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are necessary. This position offers a salary of approximately $23,293.59 to $24,014.01 annually, with additional benefits.
Term of App't: Monday - Friday (17.5 hours per week)
Start date: Immediately
Reporting to: Development Officer
Salary: Classification 6 $23,293.59 - $24,014.01 annually in accordance with the BCGEU Support Collective Agreement.
Benefits include: 59.5 vacation hours annually (pro-rated and front loaded), extended health and dental benefits after 6 months of employment, leave entitlements for family and personal illness, medical appointments, and other special leaves. Christmas closure is paid time off from December 25 – January 1 each year.
The NLC Foundation Clerk provides front line client services, and clerical and administrative support for the NLC Foundation. The role includes assisting the Development Officer with donor events and carrying out standard office functions such as filing, photocopying, coordinating and setting up meetings, sorting mail, overseeing copier and fax equipment, and responding to community inquiries and requests for information.
This position holds financial responsibilities for the Foundation, including preparing financial documents, travel requisitions, personal reimbursement claims, and departmental credit card statements for payment. The Clerk coordinates the processing of purchase orders and cheque requisitions and ensures the appropriate financial coding of departmental expenses.
