Job summary

A provincial government organization in Kelowna is seeking a part-time Community Nurse for the Youth Forensic Psychiatric Services. This role involves providing specialized mental health care to youth in the justice system. You will assess and treat individuals under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, making a meaningful impact on their healing and reintegration. Candidates should have a relevant nursing degree and at least two years of psychiatric nursing experience. A valid BC Driver’s License is also required.

Qualifications

  • Licensed to practice and registered under the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
  • At least two years of experience in psychiatric nursing.
  • Preference for experience working with adolescents.

  • Assess and treat young people requiring specialized services.
