A leading industrial services provider is seeking technicians for a role requiring 100% travel across Canada. Responsibilities include inspecting and repairing wind turbine blades, performing minor structural repairs, and documenting work. Candidates should have at least 3 years of relevant experience and mandatory certifications. The position is physically demanding and offers a competitive and negotiable hourly rate based on experience.
Location: 100% travel across Canada
Start Date: As soon as possible
Eligibility: This position is open to Canadian citizens, permanent residents or candidates with a valid work permit.
Salary Range: We offer a highly competitive hourly rate that reflects experience and qualifications. Compensation package is negotiable and reflects our commitment to attracting top talent.
Educational requirement: Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent, with preference for Renewable Energy education.
Mandatory Training and Certifications: Arc Flash/NFPA70E, Confined Space & Rescue, GWO BST, GWO ART, GWO BTT, WHIMS, Respirator Fit Testing, LOTO. IRATA certification is preferred but not essential.
Technicians MUST be fully certified prior to being assigned to a project.
Experience: 3+ years in blade inspections, working with suspended platforms, blade repair and repair materials, and a thorough understanding of the laminating process and wind blade composition.
Other requirements: Successful candidates must pass a background check, possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Work conditions are physically demanding, including bending, crouching, kneeling, standing for extended periods, and handling heavy loads. The position requires attention to detail, good teamwork and communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure. Technicians will be required to work at heights, in noisy environments, and in confined spaces.
Transportation to and from worksites within Canada will be provided.
