Job description

Acuren and its affiliate entities are a leading provider of wind turbine rotor blade inspection, repair, and other services in North America. Combined with the use of rope access technology and inspection expertise, we provide a comprehensive inspection and repair solution for the wind industry.

Acuren Wind Canada Inc. is recruiting for experienced travelling Level I, II & III Wind Turbine Blade Technicians to support projects throughout Canada for our upcoming 2026 season!

Position Details
  • Rotation/Shift: 6 weeks on, 1 week off, 10 hrs per day.
  • Start Date: Approximately Apr 1, 2026.
  • Rate: $22.00 - $45.00 (Payrates are based upon level of experience and WIND Tech Level/Certifications)
  • Location & Travel: Remote locations throughout Canada, Flights provided.
  • Duration: April 2026 to December 2026.
Responsibilities
  • Inspect and ensure repairs on wind turbine blades are completed to company standards.
  • Work as a member of the team with a safety-first approach and document repair and inspection findings.
  • Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
  • Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
  • Work at heights of more than 300 feet via rope access or suspended platform, in confined spaces and for extended periods of time in remote locations in variable climates and environments.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and rotating shifts as required.
  • Have a comprehensive knowledge of advanced rescue techniques.
  • Be able to demonstrate all the skills and knowledge required of Rope Access Technicians.
  • Ensure operational safety of all equipment.
  • May instruct and supervise others.
  • Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by operations.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1–5 years of wind industry experience.
  • Minimum 1–5 years of blade inspection and repair experience.
  • Familiarity and comfort using mechanized hand tools.
  • Ability to work effectively within a diverse team.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
Certifications (Required / Strongly Preferred)
  • GWO Certifications (e.g., Basic Safety, Working at Heights, First Aid, Manual Handling).
  • BST.
  • ART.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean drivers abstract.
  • First Aid - CPR/AED.
Assets (Preferred)
  • IRATA (Level 1-3) Rope Access Certification.
  • SGRE Blade D.
  • BTT.
  • GWO Blade Repair.
  • Confined Space.
Physical Requirements
  • Capability to work at considerable heights (up to 100m/330ft) via ladders, lifts, suspended platforms, or rope access systems multiple times per day while carrying up to 15kg/30lbs.
  • Ability to lift up to 25kg/50lbs unassisted (occasionally up to 35kg/75lbs).
