Job Description

The Warehouse Supervisor will ensure the efficient and safe operation of the warehouse and its equipment. Accountable for ensuring inventory accuracy, supervision of forklift operators, organization and cleanliness of the AS/RS & Dry Storage Warehouse while encouraging safe work and good manufacturing practices. The job incumbent will develop a positive relationship with other departments to assist in QA, Safety and customer related audits and provide creative solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Supervising/Managing the day‑to‑day operation of both the dry & cold storage warehouses.
  • Responsible for teams’ output and efficiency within scheduled deadlines.
  • Ensure staff work in a safe manner (following lockout/tag out, company policies and procedures).
  • Identify areas within the warehouse for improvements and initiate actions needed.
  • Help maintain accurate warehouse inventories in both dry and cold storage.
  • Initiate cycle counts when needed & scheduled.
  • Receive all incoming goods in a timely & accurate manner.
  • Ensure all trailer inspections are complete & verified.
  • Excellent understanding of JDE, Mercury Gate & WAMAS software and Oracle systems.
  • Maintain both the AS/RS & Dry Storage warehouse areas and equipment to Irving standards. (high reliability and well‑maintained professional appearance)
  • Drive continuous improvement of key performance indicators through effective communication of issues.
  • Perform applicable food safety duties in the absence of the Warehouse Manager
  • Active participation in food safety, food security, health, sanitation, hygiene, and quality program within the role.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 1 or more years’ experience in an AS/RS warehouse, cold storage warehouse or food distribution/manufacturing environment.
  • 1 or more years of supervisory experience.
  • Understanding of FEFO & FIFO.
  • Proven decision‑making ability.
  • A proven track record of being pro‑active and taking initiative.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Comfortable navigating various computer systems and applications to support daily tasks and reporting.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel and Word for data management and documentation is an asset.
