Overview

A leading Canadian distributor of medical-surgical products is seeking a strategic and hands-on Vice President of Marketing to drive growth across North America and international markets. This healthcare company partners with top global manufacturers and services the acute care sector with high-quality, clinically relevant products. The organization is scaling its marketing leadership to deepen vendor partnerships, expand the product portfolio, and strengthen commercial execution across Canada and the United States.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Growth

  • Develop and execute annual strategic marketing plans for existing and emerging vendor portfolios.
  • Lead demand creation strategies and downstream marketing tactics to achieve revenue and margin goals.
  • Collaborate on new vendor acquisition and onboarding initiatives.
  • Contribute to senior leadership decisions on platform development and commercialization.

Vendor & Portfolio Management

  • Own relationships with Canadian, U.S., and international vendors.
  • Oversee vendor contracts, pricing agreements, and performance metrics.
  • Align vendor strategies with corporate objectives.

Product & Commercial Execution

  • Guide product positioning and develop sales enablement tools.
  • Manage promotional programs and new product launch initiatives.
  • Align with channel marketing and medical education to build brand equity.

Sales Enablement & Cross-Functional Support

  • Partner with sales to identify growth opportunities and support field execution.
  • Join field reps to shape positioning and support strategic accounts.
  • Support RFPs with marketing insights, pricing data, and business cases.

Medical Education & KOL Engagement

  • Lead medical education initiatives to drive adoption.
  • Build relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in core therapeutic areas.
Requirements

Education & Training

  • MBA or equivalent graduate degree is preferred, but a Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business is required.

Work Experience & Accomplishments

  • 7+ years of progressive marketing leadership in medical devices, healthcare, or regulated industries.
  • Proven success developing and executing marketing strategies across domestic and global markets.
  • Experience managing vendors, product launches, trade shows, and cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive commercial outcomes through strategic marketing.
