Position : Vice President, Finance

Location : This is a fully remote position; applicants must reside in Canada.

Salary : $135,000 - $175,000 / annum

As Vice President, Finance, you will be the most senior financial leader in the company, a key member of the Executive team, and a trusted advisor to the CEO. You'll have a direct impact on driving growth, improving efficiency, and creating long-term value, all while building and leading a high-performing finance function.

This role is not just about numbers; it's about strategy, influence, and partnership. You'll guide critical decisions, build trust with investors and stakeholders, and ensure the company remains positioned for sustainable success.

Responsibilities

1. Lead at the highest level: Partner with the CEO, Board of Directors, investors, and executive peers to shape financial strategy and business decisions.
2. Drive strategy and growth: Oversee financial planning, forecasts, and cash flow models that support growth, efficiency, and profitability.
3. Build strength and stability: Develop governance frameworks, risk management programs, and compliance systems to safeguard the company's future.
4. Be the financial voice: Lead investor relations, manage financial institutions, and guide strategic business development.
5. Own the numbers: Oversee accounting, reporting, budgets, audits, and policies to ensure accuracy, transparency, and accountability.
6. Lead and inspire: Build, mentor, and manage a talented finance team that supports the company's goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA or equivalent preferred).
• 7-10+ years of progressive finance leadership, including experience leading through growth, acquisitions, or IPO.
• Proven success managing and developing high-performing finance teams.
• Expertise in equity/debt financing, investor presentations, and shareholder communications.
• Proficiency with modern ERP and finance platforms (e.g., Sage 50, Zuora).
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and legislation.
• Advanced analytical, strategic, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional communication and leadership presence — able to influence at all levels.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable in fast-moving environments.
• Payroll management experience is essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
