Job description
Volunteer Program Manager, Primer Initiative

Organization: Right to Live Canada
Location: Remote (Canada-wide)
Time Commitment: 20+ hours per week (Flexible)
Project Duration: 6 Months

About Right to Live Canada

Right to Live Canada is a national non-profit organization operating as a non-partisan, strategic entity. We are dedicated to diagnosing and fixing a critical flaw in Canada's social architecture: the rise of systemic poverty-motivated euthanasia (MAID) and suicide among Canadians with disabilities. Using a "systems engineering" approach, we expose this flaw, educate the public and future leaders, and build the tangible, direct-action programs required to solve it.

The Initiative: The Primer Project

We are launching a mission-critical initiative to develop a series of professional, SparkCharts-quality primers. These are not pamphlets, but authoritative, evidence-based tools designed to educate all Canadians—from the public to our future leaders—on the fundamentals of this crisis. Their design, similar to SparkCharts, is intended such that they comprehensively cover all possible essential information, condensed, with sufficient rigor to ensure completeness. The first primer in this series will be the foundational document for our entire national awareness strategy. Our goal is to replicate the quality, intellectual rigor, and information density of the best condensed learning tools in the world.

The Role

We are seeking a highly driven and ambitious Volunteer Program Manager to lead this flagship project. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, you will be given the autonomy and responsibility to build and manage this initiative from the ground up.

  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle for the "Fundamentals" primer, from initial scoping to final production.
  • Recruit, onboard, and manage a specialized team of volunteers (researchers, writers, information designers, and editors).
  • Act as the central coordinator for the project, ensuring clear communication, efficient workflow, and adherence to our rigorous quality standards.
  • Work in close collaboration with the Executive Director to ensure the final product is a powerful and effective tool that aligns with our national strategic objectives.
Who We Are Looking For

This is a senior volunteer leadership role for an individual looking for a significant and impactful challenge. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A solid background in project management, program coordination, or a related leadership role.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and team management skills.
  • A strategic mindset and the ambition to lead a high-stakes, high-visibility project.
  • A strong familiarity with the purpose and design of condensed educational tools like SparkCharts, Coles Notes, or similar high-impact primers.
  • The ability to commit a consistent 20+ hours per week for the six-month project duration.
Why Take on This Role?
  • Lead a Mission-Critical Project: This isn't a support role. You will be the architect and manager of a cornerstone of our national strategy.
  • Work at the Executive Level: Gain significant strategic experience working directly with the organization's founder and executive director.
  • Build a Lasting Legacy: The primer you produce will be a key educational tool used to influence Canadian thought and policy for years to come.
  • Join a New Kind of NPO: Be part of a sophisticated, systems-focused organization that is changing the model for how non-profits create impact.
