Job summary

Virtual Coach & Mentor
Summary

A S2F Virtual Coach plays a significant role in encouraging children weekly to achieve positive change physically, mentally, and emotionally through fitness and literacy.

What you’ll be doing

As a Virtual Coach you will:

  • Encourage children in grades 1–6 to achieve positive change physically, mentally, and emotionally through fitness and literacy.
  • Build confidence and motivation within children, reducing learning gaps and developing a lifelong love of learning.
  • Support students via online after‑school programs: Brainworx! (Tuesday–Thursday, 30–40 min each) and Junior Coach Leadership (Monday, 1 hour).
  • Create a fun, inclusive, and consistent online learning space where kids feel seen and supported.
  • Facilitate sessions that include fitness activities, literacy instruction, and mentoring, emphasizing character strengths.
Details
  • January to May (winter and spring term only)
  • Flexible timing, between 4:30‑6:30 pm EST
  • 8–10 participants per group, 2–3 volunteer coaches per group
  • Sessions via an easy‑to‑use virtual platform
Requirements
  • Minimum 16 years old
  • Willing to undergo a background or police records check
  • Own laptop with internet access and camera
  • Must be located in Canada
