VT Practicum Program Overview

NVA Canada's VT Practicum Program offers final-year veterinary technician students the opportunity to gain practical experience in a supportive and dynamic setting. Work alongside experienced veterinarians and RVTs to develop skills in patient care, laboratory procedures, anesthesia, surgical assistance, radiology, and more. Enhance communication skills with medical teams and clients to prepare for a successful RVT career.

Program Details

Practicums range from two to eight weeks, accommodating your schedule and career goals. Eligible students—those enrolled in an accredited Canadian VT program and completing their final practicum—may receive a stipend to assist with travel expenses, allowing focus on learning without financial stress.
