A municipal employer in Northwestern Ontario seeks a dedicated individual responsible for fleet maintenance, station cleaning, and supply management. The role involves vehicle upkeep, cleaning duties, and general maintenance within the community's emergency services. Candidates should have a high school diploma, a valid Ontario Driver’s License, and strong organizational skills. Under the general supervision of the Superintendent – Logistics, is responsible for the cleaning and basic maintenance of the fleet, along with regular maintenance, deep cleaning and sanitizing of stations. Re-stocks supplies at stations and for the fleet as required, and calibrates/re-calibrates equipment, as scheduled.
This position requires the ability to generate force (lifting/pushing/pulling) up to 50 lbs on an occasional basis; ability to perform carrying up and down stairs; ability to tolerate repetitive shoulder movement on an occasional basis; ability to tolerate standing and walking on a frequent basis; ability to tolerate occasional twisting, bending, and crouching. Occasional = up to 33% of working day; Frequent = 34–66% of working day.
