Job description

Riva is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Technical Product Owner to guide the development of innovative software solutions and serve as the voice of the customer. In this role, you will play a critical part in steering all stages of the software development lifecycle, from crafting user stories to managing sprint planning and prioritizing the product backlog, ensuring that every deliverable aligns with customer needs and business objectives.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Reporting to the Vice President of Product, this role combines product UX design with business analysis, grounded in data‑driven iteration and deep user research. Join a team that believes great design is a science, not just an art – where feedback loops, behavior analysis, and structured testing shape every screen.

  • Design and iterate on user interfaces that drive real user engagement and conversion based on behavioral data and usability testing.
  • Conduct early‑stage user research, usability tests, and segmented audience feedback loops to inform and refine design decisions.
  • Translate insights from research into wireframes, prototypes, and high‑fidelity designs that solve real user problems.
  • Partner with product managers, analysts, and developers to define and improve user flows, information architecture, and interaction design.
  • Support business analysis activities—like gathering requirements, synthesizing findings, mapping user journeys, and documenting design rationale.
  • Run structured, pre‑live feedback cycles and low‑risk testing on early design iterations to validate assumptions and reduce rework.
  • Apply behavioral psychology, design thinking, and performance metrics to ensure every experience is intentional, effective, and measurable.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, sales, and marketing.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
  • 3+ years of experience in UX/UI design, ideally for SaaS or high‑conversion websites or applications.
  • Experience conducting user research, A/B testing, and iterative prototyping with real audience input.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing data‑informed design thinking, not just visual polish.
  • Ability to interpret research and analytics, translate into design hypotheses, and apply test findings to improve UI/UX.
  • Familiarity with tools like Figma and analytics platforms like Hotjar, GA4, LogRocket or New Relic and testing platforms like User Testing.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and strong problem‑solving skills—you know how to ask the right questions and explore multiple paths to clarity.
  • Experience with CRO, experimentation frameworks, or content‑driven conversion design.
