Job Overview

Responsible within an assigned Regional: MB/SK/BC for the sales of utility business unit products and services. Responsible for working with utilities, consultants, engineers, utility contractors and distribution in furthering the specifications and sales of Hubbell Utility products. Development of strong relationships with the end users, distributors and contractors to secure loyalty and product preference for Hubbell products, and to close projects.

A Day In The Life
  • Develop and Maintain Relationships

Develop a strong network of Utility end users, utility contractors, and specifiers.

Attend and maintain strong relationships at industry networking groups.

Apply product features and benefits to provide value add solutions.

  • Grow Sales

Close utility project business with core contractors.

Manage the sales cycle on projects, from specification to successful order placement.

Execute promotional, training and new product initiatives with utility end users, utility distribution and contractors.

Understand market segments and verticals opportunities and penetrate them.

Introduce new product features and benefits to provide value add solutions to customers and increase sales.

Support price realization in the marketplace.

Collaborate with other Hubbell Canada LP sales people in other Business Units to expand sales.

  • Be a Resource to our Customers

Learn the competitive advantages of our products and leverage them to win business.

Understand our competitive strengths and weaknesses.

Provide High Service and Fast response to customer inquiries.

  • Represent Hubbell Canada professionally

Participate in and/or lead local industry associations, tradeshows and events.

  • Metrics and Reporting

Daily, weekly, monthly reporting as required.

Performance to quota planning and execution.

The expected salary for this position is $74,000 – $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Please note this range reflects base salary only.
