An educational organization is seeking a Tutor in the Classroom to support students in closing gaps in Literacy and Numeracy. The role is funded by the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board through the 'CLOSING THE GAP' TUTOR PROGRAM. Candidates must be Ontario post-secondary graduates with a strong understanding of child development. The position requires excellent computer skills and availability to work during school hours, with a remuneration of $17.50 per hour for a minimum of 5 hours a week over 28 weeks.

The Hamilton‑Wentworth Catholic District School Board is funding the ‘CLOSING THE GAP’ TUTOR PROGRAM. This program will continue to provide post‑secondary graduates with an opportunity to enhance their educational experience by linking academic learning in a practical environment. Acting as tutors, successful candidates will support students working at level two or students in one of the targeted groups in order to help close gaps in achievement in Literacy and Numeracy. Tutors must be available to work during the school day from end of September and ending May/June.
$17.50 per hour (minimum 5 hours per week for 28 weeks)
Various & virtual online classroom.
