Responsibilities
  • Professionalism in customer service
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
  • Load and unload goods
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Perform preventive maintenance
Qualifications

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: Experience an asset

License: AZ class license

Documentation knowledge: Dangerous goods occurrence reports, Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre‑trip, en‑route, post‑trip), Trip reports

Transport type: Tractor‑trailer

Travel experience: Long‑haul, Provincial/territorial, Short‑haul

Work setting: Various locations

Physical requirements: Sitting
