Your Contribution

Englobe is looking to fill a Transportation Engineering Team Lead position in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. The ideal candidate would be a Senior Transportation Engineer to work with our Transportation Engineering team and lead staff locally in our Dartmouth office. The candidate would collaborate with our Transportation Engineering team and work on a variety of transportation planning and design projects throughout Atlantic Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Manage transportation planning and design projects that include:
    • conceptual design drawings, detailed design drawings, and construction drawings using Civil 3D software;
    • Quantity takeoffs and cost estimating;
    • Preparation of design briefs and construction specifications;
  • Project Management tasks including managing schedules, budgets, reporting, client management and contract administration;
  • Meet and communicate effectively with your multi-disciplinary team to achieve project goals;
  • Coordinate sub-consultant activities;
  • Assist with writing proposals for competitive transportation planning and design opportunities;

Your Profile

  • A civil engineering degree from an accredited university
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience working in transportation engineering;
  • Previous project management experience;
  • Experience writing technical reports;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Strong organizational skills that will allow you to work on numerous projects concurrently;

Additional assets (not necessarily required)

  • Master’s degree in Transportation Engineering;
  • Experience with AutoCad/Civil 3D;
  • Experienced in Construction Management and dealing with third party contractors.
