Qualifications

  • Completion of a one to two year college program in ophthalmic medical technology.
  • Completion of a two to three year college program in physical rehabilitation therapy.

Responsibilities

  • Examine adult clients to assess hearing loss and recommend appropriate hearing instruments.
  • Administer tests under the supervision of audiologists and record results.
  • Assist speech-language pathologists during patient assessments and carry out treatment programs.
  • Operate ophthalmic testing instruments to assist ophthalmologists.
  • Carry out treatment programs to rehabilitate patients with various injuries.
