Job summary

A leading RF hardware manufacturer in Toronto is looking for a skilled Electronics Technician to test and troubleshoot RF and DC circuits. Candidates should have at least 2 years of relevant experience and a diploma in Electronics Engineering. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, able to work independently or in a team environment, and have hands-on experience with lab equipment. This position offers a fast-paced work environment with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in electronics testing and troubleshooting.
• Prior work in an electronics lab or cleanroom environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Test & tune RF and DC circuits.
• Troubleshoot DC circuits down to component level.
• Collect and log data accurately from test processes.
• Perform soldering, wire bonding, and ribbon bonding under a microscope.
• Assist in the testing and troubleshooting of RF power amplifiers.

Responsibilities :

1. Test & Tuning of RF and DC circuits

2. Troubleshooting of DC circuits down to component level

3. Collect and log data accurately from test processes

4. Perform soldering, wire bonding, and ribbon bonding under a microscope

5. Assist in the testing and troubleshooting of RF power amplifiers, analog, and digital circuit boards (including FPGAs, timing circuits, and converters)

6. Work on the integration of RF transmitter / receiver subsystems (PAs, LNAs, T / R switches, and power supplies)

7. Maintain and organize test documentation to meet internal quality standards

Education :

• Diploma in Electronics Engineering Technician or Higher

Skills / Requirements :

1. Strong understanding of basic circuit elements and electronic components, including :

Resistors, capacitors, inductors

Transistor types (NPN, PNP, FET) and biasing

Operational amplifier configurations

Basic digital logic (AND, OR, XOR)

AC / DC and DC / DC converters

2. Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics

3. Detail-oriented with solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

4. Comfortable working both independently and in a team

5. Able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment

6. Demonstrated documentation and data entry skills to maintain test records

Preferred Skills :

1. Hands-on experience using lab equipment such as :

Multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers

2. Understanding of S-parameter measurements

3. Experience working with surface-mount and chip-and-wire components under a microscope

4. Cleanroom experience and / or certification for working with SMT components is an asset

Experience :
