Job Summary

As a member of the Maintenance group, the Technician, Facility Maintenance is responsible for the completion of work order for facility related activities. Working closely with Plant Operations, the incumbent works to ensure all building systems are functioning safely and efficiently through preventative maintenance programs.

Job Responsibilities
  • Completion of work orders or special requests for facility related activities.
  • Responsible for working with the Plant Operations Maintenance group to ensure all associated building systems are functioning properly. Responsible for reporting any unusal operation or deviation to Supervisor.
  • Responsible for completing all appointed Preventative/Predictive Maintenance Programs within the allowed time frame when assigned.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all documentation is completed according to standard operating procedures and departmental policies, and good document practices.
  • Responsible for following all department and company procedures and working in a safe manner and reporting any violations of company policies and procedures and problems to the Manager.
  • Assist in the organization of special events: general meetings or other events as required.
  • To maintain a clear line of communication with Supervisor at all times.
  • To carry out quality work in a timely manner.
  • To follow ALL safety, cGMP and SOP regulations.
  • To ensure the completion of all departmental documentation promptly and accurately.
  • To be able to work independently and as a team member.
  • To upgrade skills and knowledge on a continuing basis.
  • To continually assist in developing systems that will improve facility operations.
  • To work in a professional and positive manner at all times.
  • Assist others within the Operations Group when required.
  • Responsible for Contractor’s activities, as assigned, ensuring and company policies are followed and all work is done in a compliant manner.
  • Works in a safe manner collaborating as a team member to achieve all outcomes.

Job Requirements
  • Education
    • High School diploma required
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    • Ability to diagnose building systems equipment related problems i.e. sprinkler system, HVAC, basic electrical issues and R&D boiler issues.
    • Ability to use all designated department tools in a safe and proper manner.
    • Working knowledge of PC operations, MS Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.
  • Experience
    • Successfully meets all responsibilities of a Technician, Facility Maintenance as noted in the Job Description.
